Great Annual Savings Group

“We located to Spectrum because we wanted to be part of the regeneration of Seaham. Since June we have doubled our headcount, created jobs for local people and provided work for companies in the area.

Spectrum Business Park is the ideal location for us – there is room to grow, it has fantastic transport links, a brand new Costa Coffee outlet, a bustling marina and Dalton Park is being expanded to include a new cinema, supermarket, restaurants and cafes. We have some exciting plans in the pipeline and will look to expand further from our Seaham premises in the coming months – we are in early discussions about potentially taking another building on the site.”

Bradley Groves, Chief Executive and Chairman of Great Annual Savings Group

County Durham Housing Group

“We considered 12 potential premises across the county that offered adequate space, car parking facilities and access to local amenities.

Following an appraisal of all the options, the board agreed that Spectrum Business Park was the best solution as it gives us a modern and fresh identity.”

Jill Ancrum, Communications at County Durham Housing Group

Durham County Council

Spectrum 8 is Durham County Council’s flagship office base.

The Council relocated here in 2011 from poorly performing, inadequate office buildings to this fit for purpose and spacious office as part of DCC’s Corporate Improvement Programme.

The location is ideal – just off the A19 corridor, near the Durham coast railway line and on a public bus route. There is also ample car parking onsite. The office space is entirely flexible and enabled the Council to adopt modern ways of working with open plan environments, break out space and excellent meeting/conference facilities.

The quality of the light, airy and modern accommodation has helped staff overcome the transition from traditional style cellular offices, with concerns about confidentiality, to a far more efficient open plan layout with increased levels of staff satisfaction. Spectrum 8 hosts an integrated mix of public services, some operating 24/7 and dedicated hot desk facilities that help reduce business travel and increase productivity.

One of Spectrum’s main attractions is the proximity to shops, designer outlets, cafes and restaurants, leisure facilities and coastal walks which is a huge benefit to staff located here.

Sue Kelley, Special Projects Manager Regeneration and Development.

REDU

It’s a great place to start or grow a business, with options to expand easily into new offices plus location and price. We have moved 3 times into bigger office space as we grew, it was easy, hassle free and no removal vans needed.

Redu Group chose Spectrum for a couple of key reasons, 1. The location is great, with easy access by car and bus plus a train station near by. It is literally a breeze to drive into work with no congestion. 2. Quality, Price and Terms – We wanted to be in professional offices that look the part and at a price that wouldn’t strangle the business, delivered the necessary services all in a fixed monthly fee. The easy in easy out terms are also an added benefit.

Nothing is to much trouble for the management team, they even lend me milk in times of coffee desperation!

It’s a quality feel and a great space to work in.

Seaham has improved and has now become a destination of choice for people to socialise. The seafront is always busy and food choice is varied with some quality eateries.

We looked at a lot of other premises before choosing Novus Seaham and we made the right choice.

Gary Hunter, CEO, REDU

Seaham Safety

We love the look and feel of the working environment here at Spectrum Business Park and the fact that the building is fully managed, they’ve excellent facilities.

I love the sea view, it definitely makes a difference and it’s great to know that we have the option of additional space should our business grow.

The local amenities at Seaham are good and there is a lot of development ongoing in the surrounding area.

The management team are friendly, approachable and really helpful and I’d certainly recommend Novus Seaham to anyone looking for office space.
