11 May Spectrum Business Park welcomes The Great Annual Savings Group
Spectrum Business Park, one of the North East’s fastest growing business parks welcome another growing organisation, only weeks after announcing its latest new tenant.
The Great Annual Savings Group has chosen Spectrum Business Park as the ideal location to expand and has taken over 13,000 sq ft in Spectrum 6, meaning this building is now fully occupied.
The company joins County Durham Housing Group, who have taken office space on the first floor in the same building.
Paul Wellstead, the developer behind Spectrum Business Park, said:
“Last year I said I was aiming for full occupancy in 2015 and was confident that exciting announcements would come in the early part of the year.
“We have worked hard to position Spectrum as a premier business location for new and growing SMEs as well as large organisations and our two newest tenants back that up.
“Between them they are occupying over 26,000 sq ft of office space which is fantastic and will certainly play a part in the continued growth of the park over the coming months.”
Spectrum Business Park, which is located off the A19 and just a stones-throw from the vibrant Seaham Marina and Dalton Park developments, offers serviced office space designed for smaller businesses and bigger units of up to 61,000 sq ft aimed at larger companies and organisations who employ up to 600 people.
Bradley Groves, Chairman of the Great Annual Savings Group, said: “We wanted premises which fit perfectly with our growth plans and would enable the continued development of our company. Spectrum Business Park fits the bill as the office space is high quality, it’s in a great location and we will get the support we need to ensure we can take the business to the next level.”
Judith Bennison, Group HR Director at The Great Annual Savings Company, added: “Moving to Spectrum Business Park provides us with a great opportunity to grow and expand not only into the current building but potentially into the surrounding buildings too. The specification of the building and its location gives us a great catchment area to recruit more people and offer great career opportunities to the local community.”
Construction of Spectrum Business Park was completed in 2010 and is now home to over 20 businesses employing over 750 people.
Paul added: “With the vibrant mix of big name tenants and smaller companies located here, Spectrum Business Park is building a reputation as one of the region’s most versatile and high quality business locations and I really want to build on that to find occupants for the remaining units.
“My aim is that by the end of this year Spectrum Business Park will be full.”
