17 Jun Spectrum tenant aims for 100 new staff
Great Annual Savings Group, tenants of Spectrum 6 ground floor, is ready to treble in size with a recruitment drive that will eventually see it employ 150 people here in Seaham at its headquarters.
Established in 2012, the Group works with businesses across a range sectors to save money in a range of areas including energy procurement, energy and water cost management, fire safety, telecoms and insurance.
Now the group has moved into Spectrum Business Park after outgrowing its original premises in South Shields. The relocation was facilitated in part by a double funding boost – £400,000 from the Let’s Grow Fund and the largest cash injection to date in the North East from the Santander Growth Capital Fund.
Now Great Annual Savings Group says it will increase headcount from almost 50 to 150 in the next two years.
Roles are currently available for business solutions managers, who will look after the company’s portfolio of clients. Management and administration positions will also be created in time.
Bradley Groves, chief executive and chairman of Great Annual Savings Group, said: “For several months we have been working hard to create an infrastructure that will allow the company to grow exponentially in the next few years.
“It’s not just about the growth of Great Annual Savings Group either. We will be creating jobs for local people, providing business for local suppliers and helping to reduce unemployment in the area. I’m from County Durham and I’m passionate about doing everything I can to drive forward the regeneration of Seaham and the wider North East.”
